Terms of service

Last updated: April 2026

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Neurodiversity Design Council website (thendc.org.uk) and any assessment services provided by the NDC. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

The Neurodiversity Design Council is operated by Common People Consultancy, a UK-based consultancy. Our contact email is hello@thendc.org.uk.

Assessment services

NDC assessments are conducted against the published NDC standard (currently NDC-2026-001). Assessments are carried out by neurodivergent assessors with relevant professional experience. The scope, tier, cost, and timeline of each assessment are agreed in writing before work begins. No charges are made until both parties have agreed to proceed.

Assessment reports are the intellectual property of the NDC and are licensed to the client for internal use. Clients may reference their certification status and use their hosted NDC badge for the duration of its validity. Clients may not modify, alter, or misrepresent their assessment results or certification status.

Certification and badges

NDC certification is time-limited. Validity periods are specified at the point of certification. Badges are hosted on NDC servers and rendered via an embed code. If a certification expires, is not renewed, or is revoked, the badge will stop rendering automatically.

The NDC reserves the right to revoke certification if it becomes aware that a product has changed materially since the assessment was conducted, or if the client has misrepresented the scope or nature of the assessed product.

Limitation of liability

NDC assessments provide an independent evaluation against the NDC standard. They do not constitute legal advice, and certification does not guarantee compliance with any legislation including the Equality Act 2010 or the European Accessibility Act. Clients are responsible for their own legal compliance.

The NDC's total liability in connection with any assessment shall not exceed the fee paid for that assessment.

Intellectual property

The NDC standard, assessment methodology, report templates, and badge designs are the intellectual property of the Neurodiversity Design Council. The standard is made publicly available for reference but may not be reproduced, adapted, or used to deliver competing assessment services without written permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Material changes will be communicated to active clients directly.
