Careers and opportunities
We're building a team of neurodivergent professionals, and the work is set up so you can do it where and when you do it best.

The NDC works remotely and flexibly, mostly with freelancers and contractors, because neurodivergent people tend to do their best work when they control where, when and how they work. You choose your hours and your surroundings, and we judge the work itself.
How we work
Fully remote
Work wherever you're most comfortable and most productive, whether that's at home, in a library, in a café or in your car.
Flexible hours
We care about the quality of the work and leave the timing to you. If you work best at midnight, work at midnight. There are no core hours and nobody watches your screen.
Freelance and contract
We work mainly with freelancers and independent contractors, and you decide how much work to take on, with no minimum commitment.
Neurodivergent by requirement
Every assessor must be neurodivergent, because lived experience is the qualification the whole NDC is built on.
Open roles
Freelance NDC assessor Recruiting now
Freelance or contract, remote, based in the UK
We're looking for neurodivergent professionals with experience in UX design, accessibility, software development, learning design or content design to join our assessment panel. You'll assess digital products against the NDC standard across all seven domains, write evidence-based reports and help develop the standard itself. Familiarity with assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack) and evaluation tools (axe DevTools and WAVE) is valued.
You must be neurodivergent. A formal diagnosis is welcome but not required, because what matters is lived experience and professional credibility. We'd like to hear from people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, sensory processing differences or other neurodivergent conditions.
